Fastening technologies and assembly techniques are evolving to meet continued demands for reliability, throughput, and ease of manufacturability. One trend sees designers involving parts manufacturers in early design phases to ensure design for manufacturability (DFM). Another sees the fasteners themselves becoming smaller, stronger, lighter, and easier to install by automated and robotic assembly systems. Customers engaging leading parts manufacturers earlier in the design phase can save time and money. When involved in the design phase, parts manufacturers can identify and address potential problems with manufacturability while meeting specific installation requirements.

Mauri Design Engineers collaborated with the OEM to overcome these issues. The resulting connector design reduced costs by 50%. Mauri design incorporated a cold-formed primary process with a secondary operation. This combined process delivers technical performance that normally requires a machining process, while meeting the OEM's commercial targets. Fasteners are increasingly being asked to work harder and smarter, and fastener companies like Mauri are answering the call by developing lighter, smaller, and stronger fasteners that are easier to install. Sometimes this means moving from thicker and heavier steels to thinner alloys, or less conventional materials such as aluminum. To that end, Mauri has increased its focus on fastener innovation by adding more engineers to its R&D team.

327A0 is a special insert nut or bush.

Relevant features:

  • Short lenght, ideal for flat panel, with M8 inner metric thread
  • Double hex recess:
it could be used with one single hex in more positions or if you need higher torque value you can use double hex tools
  • You can use it in two ways: by screwing it or by pushing it (insertion). In this second option the insertion time is lower.
  • Very good pull out resistance due to special thread profile.
  • Could be suitable for a wide range of materials

Kit composed of TWO screws with a hex 4 mm recess and TWO sleeve nuts flat head same hex 4 mm. Metric thread M6.

The peculiarity of this screw is its predisposition to be cut to shorten it as needed.

The overall length is 80mm, along which there are 3 points (every 20mm), not threaded, ideal for cutting.

The whole is made of aluminum series 1050 . This gives the unit a low weight and makes it easier to cut the screw.

Kit available in both silver and anodized black finish.
